Notification of product change 13 April 2006

The method of applying the transfers has changed slightly. Due to unforeseen problems with supplies of printing paper, LBMS have decided to change the transfers to a different kind of paper.

The method of application is very similar to the previous method. The only change is that instead of a plastic top layer it is now a paper layer which needs water applied to it to come off. If you look at the instruction sheet below you can see how simple they are to use.

Transfers printed in this newer style will gradually be phased in as stocks printed on the previous type of paper sell out. Both styles of transfer work perfectly so do not be concerned if you receive two types of transfer in your orders over the next few months – both the application methods are clearly set out in instruction sheets supplied with every pack.

Below are some images of shields using the new style of transfer paper. As you can see the quality of artwork that customers have come to expect from LBMS has not been compromised in any way.

Due to increased cost of production LBMS are going to have to raise the price of the transfers. This change will commence from 22 May; one month after Salute.

15mm shield transfer sheets will rise from £2.50 to £3.50 per sheet.
20mm plastic transfer sheets remain at £5.
28mm shield transfer sheets will rise from £2.50 to £3 per sheet.
All banner sheets remain at £10.

Over the course of the next few months, look out for the release of more banner sheets, 10mm shield transfers, designs for the Chinese Warring States, and a range of Samurai Sashimono.
